Sunday 13 April
After missing my Fitbit target the day before, I got up early and took a wee walk round the area before we got the bikes down and went cycling out to the Waimakariri estuary then back along the Kaiapoi River into town.
We got lured into “Paris for the Weekend” for scones before cycling back to Banjo.
Ella had been at a market in Riccarton so we met her at Riverside Market for lunch then popped into Rollicking Gelato for dessert - nom nom!
Ella was knackered after a wedding on Saturday and the morning market so I drove her home via the supermarket where we bought dinner. Didn't really need to buy veggies as her garden had produced 7 fabulous yellow scallopini - but it turned out neither she nor Josh really liked them! Her lovely friend Anna dropped by to share a magazine with her as it featured one of Ella's photos (sadly uncredited) - but it was lovely for me to meet her as she is a fellow celebrant - though in a different league to me as she is currently VP of CANZ (Celebrant Association NZ) and is hosting the upcoming conference! She was so cool and I shared a business card with her in the hope that she might be able to pass on any weddings that she was double booked for!
Spent a chill evening with the kids and the hoodlum hounds before retiring to Banjo for another episode of Traitors… too addictive!
